Creating a Facebook page for your business is so important because it represents your company online, and is a great place to engage and connect with your audience.

Quick Tip: Create a custom Facebook url such as facebook.com/enteryournamehere because it is much easier to use on promo items and looks much more professional.
Once your page is set up and complete, create and share interesting content for your readers. You might want to consider boosting your posts or use the Power Editor to create ads.
Use the Facebook Insights tab to measure how your posts are performing, and what content your audience enjoys. Then alter your content accordingly.
Remember to keep updating your page with interesting content, images, videos and contests to keep readers interested and engaged!
I currently have a Facebook profile, is there any way to separate your personal page from your business page if you have them connected? Or will all your followers on business be able to see your personal? I’m new to the whole Facebook for business thing.
A business page is a stand-alone page, so you can simply administer your business page acting as your business. It is worthwhile though if you do have a personal account to share your business page with your personal contacts to encourage them to like your page for great information. If you need more specific information please let me know!
But, keep in mind…if you have a business you work from home with and you have a personal Facebook, do NOT post personal stuff on your business profile. Keep it fun and engaging, interact with your followers, but keep personal and professional separate.
Absolutely Ann, great tip! Although it is great to encourage people on your personal account to go like your business page and engage that way, definitely keep your personal comments on your personal page. Also remember too that everything you post to your personal profile is still online so be careful what you post.
